The Chemistry Of Destiny

April 18th, 2006 at 07:36am Michael Conniff 2

Bennett Bramson, the peripatetic executive director of Aspen Youth Experience, has resigned effective June 9, 2006, but could stay longer to help in the search for his successor. Bramson, previously the #2 at the Aspen Art Museum, has been a tireless advocate for giving the AYP children from inner cities a chance to come to the valley to change the chemistry of destiny. After two years on a taxing job, Bennett Bramson resigned his position.

In an email to friends and colleagues, he wrote: “In the past two years, we have revitalized an organization faced with a deficit, expanded professionalism in the agency with vibrant, energetic new staff, increased revenue by close to 40%, overcome a number of challenges, expanded our Board, increased awareness, visibility and viability, and improved the quality of all of our programs.”

Bramson said he intended to stay closer to home, to do more teaching, and to build up his DevelopMentors consulting business.
