An equal opportunity killer
Taking place within the dark shadow of the recent guilty verdicts of illegal-alien cop killer, Raul Gomez-Garcia, and illegal alien, Martin Novotny, (who stabbed to death Brazilian au pair, Elise Toledo, inflicting 74 knife wounds), here’s a partial update of the carnage allegedly perpetrated by illegal aliens in Colorado, inflicted on citizens and aliens alike:
In Douglas County , illegal alien Jose Luis Rubi-Nava is charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Luz Maria Franco-Fierros, a Mexican national. (Rubi-Nava’s wife and children live in Mexico .) Rubi-Nava allegedly tied a tow-rope around his victim’s neck and dragged her to death behind his truck, leaving a gruesome mile-long trail of blood, flesh and bone.
In Edgewater, a suburb of Denver , illegal alien Gilberto Cruz, a.k.a. Eduardo Espinoza-Martinez, is charge with the murder of 22-year-old Amanda Jean Duran. Duran, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at age 17, has been described by her friends as “an amazing person, outgoing, always friendly." Edgewater police say Gilberto Cruz shot Duran in the back of her head with a sawed-off shotgun while she begged for help at a neighbor's door.
Illegal alien, Ricardo Jamie Sanchez, is charged with the shooting death of Gustavo Guzman-Ramirez, at a construction site in Parker. Sanchez is accused of firing multiple shots into Guzman-Ramirez. Sanchez was apparently making run for the Mexico border when he was apprehended in Albuquerque , N.M. An eye-witness said the Sanchez reloaded his revolver “at least twice” during the killing.
In Boulder , Illegal alien Guadalupe Garcia Gutierrez, is charged with suspicion of careless driving resulting in death, driving a vehicle without a valid license and operating an uninsured vehicle. She allegedly crashed her vehicle into bicyclist, Christopher Woodby, leaving Woodley brain dead. Woodley is described by friends as a sportsman and a philosopher. At this writing, Woodley is being kept on life support, although a hospital spokesperson said there was no chance of survival.
In the San Luis Valley , schoolteacher Kelly Bergen, 26, was killed when her car was crushed between two large potato-hauling trucks. Oscar Martinez Cruz, driver of one of the trucks, was charged with careless driving causing death. As of this writing, he is currently in the Alamosa County Jail on an immigration hold.

In March 2000, Congress made public Department of Justice statistics showing that, over the previous five years, the INS had released over 35,000 criminal aliens instead of deporting them. Over 11,000 of those released went on to commit serious crimes, over 1,800 of which were violent ones [including 98 homicides, 142 sexual assaults, and 44 kidnappings].
In 2001, thanks to a decision by the Supreme Court, the INS was forced to release into our society over 3,000 criminal aliens [who collectively had been convicted of 125 homicides, 387 sex offenses, and 772 assault charges].
I am sure the figures of late are close if not worse.
This is a very interesting article and explores the changing trend in what is going on with regards to illegals.

Carnage? Oh please. Can the hysteria. Maybe you should move to Thornton, I hear they are all living under their couches due to a massive crime wave. It's like Bagdad down there I hear.
I will believe that you are actually serious about immigration when you go after the employers who hire aliens. Till then, put a lid on the demonization of people who take great risks simply to get a job.
Someone paid that guy to drive the truck. He is not in jail. You clowns are all the same, get hysterical about immigrants - leave a huge blind spot for the employers.
The Republicans are playing both ends of this and it is disgusting. Fear mongering for the meathead rank and file; blow jobs for the chamber of commerce lobbyists.
The imigrants are here because someone wants them here - and that someone is generlly in the GOP.

I think Jose at Woody Creek said it best in talking about the Mexican drug dealers, "Guys that are dealing drugs say they make more in three days then I make in two weeks."
These guys I put in the statistics above probably are not just here looking for work in a kitchen.
However, I do agree with you that if you hire illegals, there should be stiff penalties for the employers. Colorado is taking the lead on this in the nation, mainly because the federal government refuses to do anything about it. The only problem is that Colorado has no enforcement mechanism for this new legislation, so until that takes effect (years?) don't look for much of a change.
You want to see Disgusting, look at the news clips of Hillary playing up to the illegal crowds this last May. This isn't a GOP issue, it cuts across both parties.

growing up here i have seen an explosion of illegal aliens. looks to me like the blame is to be given to employers. big compainies & developers. but can you blame them? yes and no.
there's alot of mexican and latin american kids in our schools now. that's alot different than when i went to ahs in the mid 8o's.
the big chief raises a real good point. go after the employers that hire illegal aliens.......
someone told me in a meeting once that they did some illegals a 'big favor' by telling them that the ins was coming tomorrow.....made me think.
big campaign promises about illegals goin on now in co. lot's of tough talk. be interesting to see what comes of all the windbaggery.
