A Dream Through Her Eyes
December 30th, 2006 at 11:01pm B Jon Traylor 199
I'm crying tears of pain.
I'm crying tears of joy.
They run down my face into a river that winds its way near a park.
Welcome little one to this place of grass and chalk.
Welcome little one, all blue-eyed and innocent.
The world is so much colder than our pocket spent ticket.
We are in a human race, yet now you are at the gate of such a grand ol' place.
Welcome little one, there is so much to learn.
The past is a profound memory.
Society's change is choking me.
I'm now crying tears of joy.
I'm crying tears of pain.
I see my freedom playing in this park tonight.
I feel my dreams dripping into a river --
still winding, flowing, alive.
