Our city turns its lonely eyes to Toni Kronberg, the inveterate activist who stumped the experts and made it to a run-off for Aspen City Council. “You’ve got to love it,” opines Post blogger Michael Conniff. “Only in Aspen could somebody run for City Council without actually living here…. In Aspen, where housing (affordable or not) is always the paramount issue, we are only an election or two away from having a bevy of politicos who don’t even live here anymore. So let’s give Toni a break. She worked her butt off to make it to the run-off in the first place. She defied the so-called ‘experts,’ me included, and she is now the ultimate underdog in a town of top dogs and hot dogs. So run, Toni, run. You have miles to go before you sleep.”
