Obama and Truman

Ah the reverend Wright and Ayers (I think that is how it is spelled) along with the good old Weather Underground my my. Poor Obama, what an association. I guess one can imagine Washington, Jefferson, Henry, Paine, Franklin and Adams wanting to have tea instead of throwing a tea party in our world of greatly reduced expectations for the vision of America. Sometimes saying the truth certainly in a venomous way shouldn't be done (Wright). Obviously, doing the things that our founding fathers did in the name of truth justice and the American way shouldn't be done either (Weather Underground using some very rough tactics going against a morally bankrupt government over Viet Nam and civil rights). Examining the veracity of what was said (not all wrong but wrongly said) and why what was done (bombings to stop the Viet Nam War where 57,000+ Americans and 5million Vietnamese died for some idiot reason) is horrifying is beyond reason unless the Nuremburg defense of taking orders suffices. I mean can anyone tell me, point to a map or something or anything to show what was gained in Viet Nam?? It is likely that the numbers killed by the Weather Underground exceed the Viet Nam deaths or something like that, or those drafted for that experience saw the killing of Vietnamese as a privilege. I'm sure there is a morality check in there some where. Who's cashing it? I sure am glad the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution gave us this unique opportunity!! I'll bet you hear lots of Viet vets with that refrain, yup sounds like them.

The truth is that the vets were lied to and the public was lied to (imagine our government doing that, nothing like shock and awe). These lies are still being passed forward.  Supporting the objectives doesn't mean supporting the means -- murder not good simple right?

Truman is one of my favorite presidents. He knew some people why he even belonged to groups. Did ya know he was even a member of the KKK oooweee!!! God would I love the PRIVILEGE of voting for him today. I don't give a darn who he knew 30 years before. He wasn't aiding and abetting criminality and he like Obama disavowed the previous association and the actions of those associated with him. But the surface of the issue is what is important here, substance is something needing digestion and thought. Obama doesn't have that certain look, unforgiveable really. One doen't need to dig for convoluted excuses to not vote for him. Just take a look. Looks black enough and with a middle name like Hussein a deal breaker. That's all some need to know.

If you are thinking about this then one thing I have a genuine problem with Obama on is the bankruptcy bill he voted for. I have problems with Clinton and even more with McCain. We all have problems though. I am thinking about these problems and don't care how they look or how they pee or who they have sex with. I hope that some of us will grow up, get out of being a diaper butts or victimized self pitying stooges and think about the issues and betterment of this country when you vote.
