Chef's Dava's Basket Of Plenty

August 4th, 2008 at 08:07pm Chef Dava 63

Mother Nature and the Farmers told me we should have Potatoes, Garlic, Onions, Kale or Chard, Salad Mix, Tomatoes, Summer Squash, Sweet Corn, Beets, Cantaloupe and early Peaches. We will see!

You can order the first Raspberries from the Austins if you click on the Extras button on the Products page. There is not enough to go around to the boxes.

Eggs are in short supply, so you can try ordering them but it is not a guarantee that the chicken will accommodate. It's getting a little hot over here for them too!

We have beautiful Sunflowers of all shapes and sizes coming on in both the Queen Bee and the Farmhouse Bouquet, and Ashley will have her Sunny bouquet on offer for a few weeks. Go to the Flowers on the Product page and get some local, non-toxic Blooms for your house and loved ones! Big points with the loved ones, trust me!

My kitchen is legal, so that little bit of info makes The Farmhouse a perfect day trip or overnighter for you looking for Gourmet, Organic Local Cuisine, a pretty drive and a peaceful afternoon or night away.

This Sunday we will be doing Brunch with Live Music. Come join us between 9 am and 1 pm for some of that yummy farm food served up with a smile. Brunch is $15 a head, includes our fantastic Mountain Phoenx Coffee that we sell on teh web-site. Those under 4 ft tall eat for $10.

Next Saturday, the 9th, is our inaugural Saturday Supper Reservations must be made by noon Saturday. These Saturday Suppers will be year round, but this is the time of year we chefs have been looking forward to to make our creative juices run wyld in the kitchen! Come spend the night Saturday ( or Not! ) enjoy live entertainment, shop at our Farmstore boutique, get a massage from Kate, eat a 4 course meal for around $40-$50 dollars, not including wine or gratuity, stay for Sunday Brunch (price included in your
stay), and drive home fat, happy and inspired!

That's eat Live and Local!

Order up!
