This Library Rocks

October 17th, 2008 at 12:45pm Post Staff 43

Moving to a new place is not the easiest thing to do. As you are all well aware I moved from New York to Aspen. There have been things that have made the transition difficult and other things that have made it easy. So far the place that has made me feel the most at home and comfortable is the Pitkin County Library.

The workers there are always helpful and every time I walk through the door they ask if there is any way they could help me. Part of my job here at Post Time News is to update the Web site and since I am still in between places I don't have the internet yet. So I have had to rely on the library. They helped me set up my computer so I could get the internet and do my job.

When the wireless went down in the library they set me up with a computer for two 90 minute internet sessions so I could get my job done. The standard time they give out to citizens that come in is 30 minutes. Then when I needed to save my work and make sure I got my story to my boss the Con Man they gave me a floppy disk to save it.

They did not have to do any of this, but since they are such amazing people they did. I just want to thank them and hope they read this blog and understand that I appreciate everything they have done for me. Thanks!
