Jack On The Attack
November 2nd, 2009 at 07:22pm Post Staff 43
In his continuing battle with Marilyn Marks, former City Councilor Jack Johnson is question why Marks won't keep her word and release all relevant documents and emails. Johnson suggested the following in an email to Aspen Post:
I draw your attention to an exchange between MM and "Deprong Mori" on the Aspen Times site. It's under Opinion, Letters to the Editor, "Shooting the Messenger"
There's a good bit of back and forth about the discrepancy between MM's promise to release everything she made to the council (public) on Monday night and how she stepped off that the next day (probably that same night as it was released pretty early Tuesday.)
I suspect she went home and thought about it or did a quick search of her records and saw that she probably couldn't keep her promise.....whoops.
Now she's claiming practical issues.
What would be great is if she could be backed into a corner. Most of what EM turned over was NOT just between EM and MM. But EM to MM emails would be subject to CORA if they were about election anything (esp. if after election day as MM was out and EM no longer her treasurer)....

I think "attack" is a bit strong, but that's Michael's choice not mine.
I am concerned that our political process has been attacked though. I've made some serious allegations about how from public records it appears our Election Commission was manipulated behind the scenes for one person's ends instead of everyone's.
If you'd like to know exactly what I think happened and why, you may go to www.grassrootstv.org, click on "Grassroots Video Now," search "election," and select "Aspen Election Commission Allegations."
This is a show I taped that outlines what these allegations are (and I think they are very serious) and provides the evidence from the public record I use to support my conclusions.
It will be playing on Grassroots TV, Channel 12 this week: Tuesday at 11am, Wednesday at 11pm, Thursday at 7am, Friday at 12:30am, and Saturday at 7pm.
