Aspen’s former mayor John Bennett—now active in the for the forest group—will be interviewed next week in local news, regarding the  summit at the Hotel Jerome on December 17^th.   Governor Bill Ritter will attend the meeting to address the spreading destruction of forests by the mountain pine beetle.
Although it’s cold, we probably on Friday and Saturday will not see such arctic conditions.  The mercury tonight will drop=—below zero, but for the weekend temperatures will range in the thirties and forties throughout the region—-great conditions for getting out on the ski slopes.
