In comment #41 from Aspen Post’s continuing thread on climate change, the Con Man takes issue with Post blogger Mitch Mulhall’s assessment of Barack Obama in Copenhagen. “Now that they face defeat,” he writes, “the Republican/Conservative movement has taken to proclaiming its satisfaction with the passage of healthcare reforn because they are convinced it won’t work. The same psychotic dysfunction is at work when it comes to climate change. At the end of the day, if we don’t shift to renewable energy sources then we are damn near suicidal as a nation for reasons of (a) national security; and (b) climate change. (In that order, by the way). Even if you don’t believe in climate change one single bit, it still makes sense to shake our addiction to fossil fuel for reasons of national security.”
