‘The Artist’ earns best-picture, lead-actor Oscars

LOS ANGELES – “The Artist” won five Academy Awards on Sunday including best picture, becoming the first silent film to triumph at Hollywood’s highest honors since the original Oscar ceremony 83 years ago.
