Aspen City Council on Friday authorized the city manager to spend up to $10,000 on outreach efforts warning Aspen residents and visitors about the fire danger and how to prepare for an evacuation.
Council, in an emergency meeting, also authorized the city manager to take whatever amount is necessary from the municipal government’s coffers in the case of an emergency.
