Infowars.com quotes Dr. Hunter S. Thompson Jr. in comment #5: "We have become a Nazi monster in the eyes of the whole world -- a nation of bullies and bastards who would rather kill than live peacefully."

"Of course both Mitch & Jeffrey are right on," writes Post blogger dankinney in comment #4. "If I lived in Redstone however, I would insist upon the county providing some sort of service. It 's just flat out unfair for Redstone to pay anything for absolutely no service at all!
Even if it were just 3 or 4 runs per day. The county has a moral obligation to connect the geographically separated parts of the county to the rest of itself. For us in Woody Creek, we get a few runs in the morning once per hour then several in the evening again but only during the 'season.' We get absolutely zilch during the day & the 'off season.'"

Common Sense Alliance blogger Jeffrey Evans sparks a discussion in comment #1 by dankinney about inequities in the system. "If you live in Redstone or Woody Creek (as I do) & in other areas," dankinney blogs, "an 'equal' portion of our taxes go to subsidize RFTA, right? BUT we do not have equal access.
So when the town of Snowmass Village comes up with funds for free bus travel between Aspen & Snowmass Village, shouldn't some of those funds be, in turn, used to subsidize our use?"

WOODY CREEK, COLORADO (Post Time News)—In a revelatory interview with the Guardian of London in October 2005, the widow of the late Dr. Hunter S. Thompson drew the curtain back on Owl Creek Farm and the picture is not the roseate picture that predominated after the gonzo journalist’s suicide in 2005.
Anita Thompson said there was “dark side” to Thompson and she called him the “lord of the underworld.” Before his death, she had been recently staying with her mother because “things were so bad.” She also said that she succumbed to the drug culture that surrounded her husband, and that she and the writer had tried to have a child.

Anyone who knows me well enough is fully aware of my serious interest in all things educational, political, and downright sexy. Combine all of these into one package and you have Mike Rowe, host of Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs.
Today I was informed that I have received my 1:58 minutes of fame and recognition by Mike Rowe, in the form of a video that now appears on his website. It is under the category of Mike's Got Mail, where a little video box appears with that title. Along with Mike reading my letter and displaying the political campaign item I designed, produced and sent, he briefly acknowledges Woody Creek, albeit I have long since become an ex-patriated Woody Creature after sending the mail to Mike.
Patience has never been one of my virtues, but in this case, it was well worth the wait. Watch the video, get informed, become a political activist, and follow our lead. A new party is about to take formation, and it shall be known as the Poo Party. You can start by sporting the proper attire. Mike Rowe for President

For Dr. Hunter S. Thompson Jr., if it wasn't on the page then it was on the stage. And like a curtain that won't quite close, thereby hangs the great paradox of his career: the incomparable writing vying with the larger-than-life icon to represent some kind of failed American dream.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO (Post Time News)--Crystal methamphetamine has come to the Roaring Fork Valley in a big way.
A combo platter of local and federal law enforcement officials announced Wednesday the first major drug bust for crystal meth in the Roaring Fork Valley, one with major implications for the tide of Mexican immigrants sweeping the valley.
"What we're seeing is indicative of the trend the guys who used to deal coke are now dealing coke and meth," one law enforcement official familiar with the roundup told Post Time News. "People are saying I'll take the meth. We saw meth in Rifle, Silt, and those places but we never saw it here in Basalt and in the valley."

There’s never enough time for gunplay in Arnold Bagdikian’s world, but he makes time for a visit to the ramshackle Woody Creek habitat of Dr. Melville Pruitt, the gonzo journalist who is long gone from the world as we know it. Dr. Pruitt is no stranger to controlled substances, and he likes nothing more than to leave out his garbage as bait on the practice range for baby bears. But the Doctor is also the one man in Aspen who always seems to know what happens next. He tells the Bag Man and Mike McGuff, his columnist gone Hollywood, that Sheriff Dominic Picatti is in bed with the billionaire O’Kells—and that the worst is yet to come. All that’s left for our hero is to save the life of a baby bear Dr. Pruitt would just as soon kill.

Each day, about 11,000 foreign nationals illegally cross our borders and enter into the United States. They are only coming for a better life right? How much are you willing to pay for that life they are seeking? How about with your own life, or maybe that of your children.
The recent kidnapping of Clay Moore by an illegal alien is only the most recent and much publicized account of what we as citizens must pay as these illegal aliens run amuck in our country with no regards for our laws, sovereignty, or the well fare of our citizens.
